After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mira Costa, Lawndale was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Peninsula Panthers by a score of 6-1. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 9-1 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2019.

Christian Lopez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
