Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Academy Chargers vs. Veritas Christian Eagles

The Heritage Christian Academy Chargers will face off against the Veritas Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Christian Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Veritas Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Heritage Christian Academy is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Bishop Ward on Monday. The Chargers came out on top against the Cyclones by a score of 9-6.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Veritas Christian's offense. They fell just short of Kansas City East Christian Academy by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Heritage Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Veritas Christian, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-4.

Heritage Christian Academy took their victory against Veritas Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
