Softball Recap: West Davidson Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

While West Davidson's win against East Davidson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dragons had just enough and edged out the Golden Eagles 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Dragons have posted since March 4th.

Hannah Rollins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Meghan Leonard, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Gracie Michael was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

West Davidson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for East Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

As of now, neither West Davidson nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
