Baseball Recap: Crosspoint Christian Takes a Loss

Crosspoint Christian came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-7 to Non Varsity Opponent. Crosspoint Christian has struggled against Non Varsity Opponent recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Payton Lauth put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Lauth was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

In other batting news, Cody Sanders was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
