Soccer Game Preview: Park Vista vs. Wellington

Park Vista and Wellington are an even 4-4-2 against one another since December of 2014, but likely not for long. The Park Vista Cobras will square off against the Wellington Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Park Vista is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Wellington better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Park Vista really get things going. Park Vista's defense stepped up to hand FAU High a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. Three seems to be a good number for the Cobras as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

They hit FAU High with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Devon Fernandez, Jencarlo Palacio, and Harold (Hesh) Rappaport.

Wellington played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They came out on top against Palm Beach Central by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Wolverines were the better team in the second half.

Park Vista pushed their record up to 7-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four games. As for Wellington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2-2.

Park Vista skirted past Wellington 1-0 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Park Vista have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wellington turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
