Mount Carmel Academy put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. Everything came up roses for them against Texas Christian as the squad secured a 48-0 win. No one put up better numbers for Mount Carmel Academy than senior Matthew Carreon, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 55 yards on the ground and caught passes for 79 yards. Carreon has been a consistent playmaker for Mount Carmel Academy as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Sanchez's strategy against Grace Christian Academy last Friday. Sanchez were fully in charge, breezing past Grace Christian Academy 58-20.the rankings were on Sanchez's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result
Their wins bumped Sanchez to 2-0 and Mount Carmel Academy to 4-1. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Mount Carmel Academy and Sanchez will really light up the scoreboard.
