Basketball Recap: Ridgeland Takes a Loss

Ridgeland was the 38-35 winner over Columbus when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ridgeland Titans were beaten by the Columbus Falcons 57-27 on Friday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ridgeland's loss came despite strong showings from Jaelyn Luckett and Avah Trevino. Luckett posted eight points and three steals, while Trevino put up nine points. Those nine points gave Trevino a new career-high. Christiuna Levy also deserves some recognition as she scored her first point of the season.

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Columbus, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.

Ridgeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-18 defeat against Morton on the 18th. Columbus has also already played their next matchup (against Vicksburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
