Volleyball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin lost against Otto-Eldred on September 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Terrors. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 14, 2023, but that streak is no more.

While Austin ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 22-25, 25-18.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Otto-Eldred, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Austin will square off against Smethport at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Otto-Eldred, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Cameron County on the 25th.
