Baseball Recap: Coolidge Comes Up Short

Coolidge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Safford Bulldogs.

Coolidge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Perez, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Coolidge's record is now 4-9. As for Safford, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Coming up, Coolidge will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Apache Junction at 4:00 p.m. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Prospectors have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Safford, they will be taking part in a tournament against Globe at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
