Pearl has gone 9-1 against Terry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Pirates will venture away from home to take on the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Pearl will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Pearl took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Warren Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pirates narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Vikings 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since March 20, 2025.

Lilly Byrd made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Byrd wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Elayiah Turner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Pearl always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Florence hit Terry with a five-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Terry's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pearl, their record is now 4-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Pearl has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Terry struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Pearl's way against Terry in their previous matchup on Tuesday, as Pearl made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
