Baseball Recap: Houston Academy Comes Up Short

Houston Academy lost against Geneva on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Houston Academy fell just short of Geneva by a score of 6-5. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cooper West made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ty Morris, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Houston Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Geneva, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Houston Academy will challenge Ariton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Geneva, they will face off against Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
