Soccer Game Preview: Baylor vs. Vestavia Hills

The Baylor Red Raiders will take on the Vestavia Hills Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Baylor's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Baylor will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Dalton, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. The Red Raiders had just enough and edged out the Catamounts 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Vestavia Hills faced Hewitt-Trussville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Rebels never let the Huskies get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but Vestavia Hills sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Hadlen Honeycutt was the driving force of Vestavia Hills' attack as he scored both of Vestavia Hills' goals, bringing his season total up to nine goals.

Vestavia Hills' win bumped their record up to 12-1-3. As for Baylor, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1.
