Soccer Game Preview: Jenks vs. Ponca City

Jenks is a perfect 5-0 against Ponca City since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. Jenks' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Tuesday, Jenks came up short against Stillwater and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Ponca City's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out Grant 2-1.

Jenks' loss dropped their record down to 2-7-3. As for Ponca City, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Jenks was able to grind out a solid win over Ponca City in their previous matchup back in April of 2021, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
