Basketball Recap: Eek Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Eek unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 73-21 loss at the hands of the Lewis Angapak Blue Jays. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 14 in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lewis Angapak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shalisa McDalton, who made all 11 shots she took for 26 points. McDalton is also crushing it when it comes to shooting accuracy: she's posted at least one every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Emma Friendly, who made all 10 shots she took racking up 20 points.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Lewis Angapak, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

As of now, neither Eek nor Lewis Angapak have any future games scheduled.
