Volleyball Recap: Waterloo East Takes a Loss

Waterloo East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Independence Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Waterloo East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Independence, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Waterloo East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Osage on the 13th. As for Independence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Edgewood-Colesburg on the 13th.
