Soccer Game Preview: Fox Chapel vs. South Fayette + How To Watch

The Fox Chapel Foxes will take on the South Fayette Lions at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Fox Chapel sitting on seven straight wins and South Fayette on 17.

Fox Chapel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Plum 2-1. The game was the first time Fox Chapel have beaten Plum on their pitch since September 15, 2015.

Emily McKee and Ava Stackhouse scored both of Fox Chapel's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 50 goals.

Meanwhile, South Fayette won against Elizabeth Forward last Monday with five goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. The Lions walked away with a 5-3 victory over Montour. Given South Fayette's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Montour are ranked 209th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fox Chapel's win bumped their record up to 18-1-1. As for South Fayette, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1-1.

Fox Chapel suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to South Fayette in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Foxes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
