Volleyball Recap: Patrick Henry Academy Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Andrew Jackson Academy, Patrick Henry Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-7, 25-11.

Sophie Westendorf paced Patrick Henry Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Westendorf got some help from Emilee Stanley and her 29 assists. Westendorf was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Patrick Henry Academy pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Calhoun Academy, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patrick Henry Academy will host Colleton Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calhoun Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Thomas Sumter Academy at 4:00 p.m.
