Mason lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Junction, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Mason Punchers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Junction Eagles a 20-0 shutout on Friday. The Punchers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

With the win, Mason broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for Junction, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Looking ahead, Mason will square off against Goldthwaite at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mason is facing Goldthwaite at the right time seeing as Goldthwaite is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Junction, they have already played their next game, a 17-2 loss against Hondo on the 1st.
