Basketball Recap: Trace Adcock's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rabun County over Gainesville + How To Watch

The Rabun County Wildcats came up short against the Gainesville Red Elephants on Saturday and fell 53-44. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Rabun County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trace Adcock, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 19 points. Adcock has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Reed Burrell was another key player, shooting 63% from the field en route to 14 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Rabun County fell to 5-1. As for Gainesville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Rabun County will welcome Towns County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Gainesville, they will head out on the road to challenge Roswell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
