Pinnacle posted their closest victory since April 8, 2024 on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Queen Creek Bulldogs 3-2. For the Pioneers, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Kodi Crabtree made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Crabtree was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she hit this season.

Crabtree wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bri Smith, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Pinnacle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. Queen Creek's loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Pinnacle will host Red Mountain at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Queen Creek, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against Kofa at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Queen Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
