Baseball Recap: Fridley Comes Up Short

Fridley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha Pirates. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 13-2 to the Pirates when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fridley's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Pirates beat Fridley by a score of 11-5 later that day.
