Preview: Prairie View Buffalos vs. Oswego Indians
The Prairie View Buffalos will face off against the Oswego Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie View is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Prairie View had to suffer through a rough 69-41 loss at the hands of Osawatomie. Prairie View has not had much luck with Osawatomie recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Even though Oswego has not done well against Jayhawk Linn recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Oswego sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 34-32 victory over Jayhawk Linn. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Oswego has posted yet this season.
Oswego got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rayden Myers out in front who scored nine points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Owen Jackson, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Prairie View's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Oswego, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Prairie View strolled past Oswego when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 40-23. Will Prairie View repeat their success, or does Oswego have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
