Basketball Recap: Cassopolis Comes Up Short

Cassopolis lost against Centreville back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cassopolis Rangers took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centreville Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 445th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 214th).

Despite the loss, Cassopolis still got an impressive performance from Jaylen Pratt, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Pratt a new career-high in rebounds. Lucas Williams was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Cassopolis' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Centreville, their victory bumped their record up to 18-3.

Coming up, Cassopolis will challenge Constantine at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Centreville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
