Soccer Game Preview: Argonaut vs. Galt

The Argonaut Mustangs will face off against the Galt Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Argonaut has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with six straight losses, while Galt will come in with four straight victories.

Argonaut fell victim to Bradshaw Christian and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the The Pride, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1222nd, while the The Pride are ranked 590th).

Meanwhile, Galt kept a clean sheet against Amador on Friday. Everything went their way against the Buffaloes as they made off with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 11 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Galt has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 56 goals over those eight matches. As for Argonaut, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17-1.
