Bishop proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 20) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-55 win over the Maranatha Christian Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 62-59 loss.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adrian Ownbey, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 17 points and three blocks. Ownbey has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Dash Ekeroth was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 16 points.

Bishop's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Maranatha Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

Bishop's will venture away from home to face off against Tri-City Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Maranatha Christian, they will challenge Santa Fe Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Maranatha Christian will need to watch out since Santa Fe Christian has now posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups.
