Basketball Recap: Jaydan Bartlett Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Forreston

There's no place like home for Durand, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 40-33 win over the Forreston Cardinals on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Cardinals back in January, they had to take a 54-37 defeat.

Durand got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaydan Bartlett out in front who posted 14 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Bartlett has posted since back in December of 2025. Another player making a difference was Micayla Peterson, who earned 11 points.

Durand's record is now 12-17. As for Forreston, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-18.

Durand has already played their next game, a 49-20 defeat against Orangeville on the 14th. As for Forreston, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-50 loss against Orion on the 14th.
