Riley Hughes commands the offense for Cavaliers win

Recap: Tri-County Cavaliers vs. Frontier Falcons

The Tri-County Cavaliers waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Frontier with a 43-38 victory. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but Tri-County was the better team in the second half.

Tri-County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Riley Hughes led the charge by scoring 13 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Eric Zarse, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.

Tri-County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Frontier, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-County will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against South Newton at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. South Newton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Frontier, they will head out on the road to take on Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Faith Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
