Softball Recap: Bellevue Comes Up Short

Bellevue and Mercer Island squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Bellevue had to settle for second. They lost 20-8 to the Islanders. The loss leaves the Wolverines still looking for their first win of the season.

Leia Morales was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Nora Nielsen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Bellevue's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Mercer Island, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-13.

As of now, neither Bellevue nor the Islanders have any future games scheduled.
