Baseball Game Preview: Eldorado Golden Eagles vs. Capital Jaguars

Eldorado is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Saturday. They will head out to face off against the Capital Jaguars at 10:00 a.m. Eldorado is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Eldorado and West Mesa, and Eldorado kept the tradition alive. The Golden Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 16-0 shutout on Saturday. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Kavan Salas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Salas was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
