Nixon had won two straight home games and AJ Palacios did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Mustangs blew past the Harmony School of Excellence Hawks 74-37 thanks in part to Palacios, who shot 44% from the field on his way to 19 points and six steals. His big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of William Palumbo, who went 6-for-12 en route to 15 points along with five boards and three steals. Nixon is 3-1 when Palumbo posts three or more steals, but 5-6 otherwise.

Nixon now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Harmony School of Excellence, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Nixon has already played their next contest, a 107-31 victory against Winn on the 5th. As for Harmony School of Excellence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-40 loss against Laredo LBJ on the 5th.
