Softball Recap: Cleburne Comes Up Short

Cleburne lost against Harker Heights back in March of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cleburne Yellowjackets fell just short of the Harker Heights Knights by a score of 4-2.

Cleburne saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Glover, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave Glover a new career-high.

Cleburne has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-2 record this season. Harker Heights' victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

Cleburne has already played their next contest, a 6-1 loss against McCallum on the 1st. As for Harker Heights, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Midway at 7:00 p.m. Harker Heights is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
