Baseball Recap: Garfield-Palouse Takes a Loss

Garfield-Palouse was the 7-3 winner over Waitsburg/Prescott when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Garfield-Palouse saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Wells, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Preston Olson was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Garfield-Palouse now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Waitsburg/Prescott, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Garfield-Palouse and Waitsburg/Prescott will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Vikings see the field they'll take on Dayton at 11:00 a.m. on the 12th. As for Waitsburg/Prescott, their break will end when they face Colton at 2:00 p.m. on the 16th.
