Basketball Recap: North Brunswick Skates Past Purnell Swett with Ease

North Brunswick strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Purnell Swett Rams 79-48. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Scorpions just coasted through the last quarter.

North Brunswick's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kane Jenrette, who posted 16 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Baker, who shot 75% from the field on his way to 17 points.

North Brunswick's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Purnell Swett, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Purnell Swett will take on Douglas Byrd at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. North Brunswick will be paying especially close attention to the Rams' game: after the Rams face off against the Eagles, they'll take on North Brunswick again at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
