Recap: Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes vs. Waxahachie Indians

The Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past Waxahachie with a 83-77 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Duncanville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bugg Edwards, who scored 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Davis-ray, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Waxahachie lost, one person who can't be blamed is Parker Jefferson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jefferson has scored all season. Isayah Pankey was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 assists.

Duncanville is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Waxahachie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duncanville will take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 191 points over their last three games. As for Waxahachie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield Legacy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
