Softball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Claymont Mustangs by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since April 18, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Washington and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Claymont, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

While Washington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
