Basketball Recap: Isha Musa's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Franklin Heights over Bishop Ready

Franklin Heights lost against Bishop Ready back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Franklin Heights Falcons lost to the Bishop Ready Silver Knights at home by a 48-33 margin. The Falcons were down 46-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Franklin Heights lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Isha Musa, who posted no points in addition to six rebounds and six blocks. Another player making a difference was Tiaonna Blair, who had two points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks.

Leading Bishop Ready to victory were Jenna Wolf and Terriauna Daniels. Wolf dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards, while Daniels went 5 of 12 on her way to 14 points and seven assists. With that strong performance, Wolf is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Lia Wahl, who put up four points along with seven boards and four steals.

Franklin Heights' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bishop Ready, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.

Franklin Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-36 defeat against Whitehall-Yearling on the 7th. As for Bishop Ready, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 35-32 win against Columbus School for Girls on the 7th.
