Softball Recap: Weatherly Takes a Loss

Weatherly had lost 14 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-14 to make it 15. They lost 15-0 to the Tri-Valley Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Tri-Valley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in April.

As for Tri-Valley, their record is now 12-5. Considering they have won ten matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Tri-Valley's part, they got a massive performance out of Mady Schwalm, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Alina Leonard, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weatherly will face off against MMI Preparatory School at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tri-Valley, they will challenge Marian Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
