Volleyball Recap: Bishop Guilfoyle Comes Up Short at Home Against Penns Valley Area + How To Watch

Bishop Guilfoyle unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Penns Valley Area Rams on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Marauders of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Bishop Guilfoyle was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.

The win got Penns Valley Area back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Guilfoyle will welcome Moshannon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on September 3. As for Penns Valley Area, they will challenge Bellefonte at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
