Wilder kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to Vision. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since September 16, 2024.

While Wilder ultimately came up short, they really made Vision work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24, 25-22.

Defeat or not, Wilder got some senior leadership from Nancy Ramirez and Natalie Escutia. Ramirez had 14 digs and four aces, while Escutia had 13 digs, 11 kills, and three aces. Ramirez is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season. Kylie Luna was another key player, getting nine digs.

Vision's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raelynn Nickel, who had ten assists and eight digs. What's more, Nickel posted four kills, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexia Anderson, who had six kills, five digs, and three aces.

Wilder has already played their next match (against Treasure Valley Classical Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Vision, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Notus on the 27th.
