Volleyball Game Preview: New Bern Bears vs. White Oak Vikings + How To Watch

The New Bern Bears will challenge the White Oak Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. White Oak took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on New Bern, who comes in off a win.

New Bern needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight matches and they got it from Allie Tuzo. The Bears walked away with a 3-1 victory over Jacksonville on Thursday thanks in part to Tuzo, who had 21 digs and three assists. Those assists marked the first that she has posted this season.

While New Bern might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Jacksonville scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 25-27, 25-21.

Meanwhile, White Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to D.H. Conley.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-8, 25-9.

New Bern's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for White Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: New Bern has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 12.1 aces per game. However, it's not like White Oak struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
