            Basketball Recap: McIntosh Chiefs vs. Lovejoy Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            McIntosh's game  last Wednesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They came out on top against the Lovejoy Wildcats by a score of  50-39. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  51-43  back in January.
 Despite the  defeat, Lovejoy saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Semaj Johnson  posted eight  points and nine  rebounds. The dominant performance gave  Johnson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was  Jabria LeSane, who  had ten  points in addition to six  boards and five  assists.
McIntosh's record is now 7-14. As for Lovejoy, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost nine of their last 11 contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record  this season.
 McIntosh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lovejoy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  50-42  victory against Lithonia on the 8th.
