There's no place like home for Grand Island Central Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the St. Paul Wildcats on Friday as the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders made off with a 59-34 win. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 25 points or more this season.

Thomas Birch was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Thomas Liban was another key player, on his way to 12 points.

Grand Island Central Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They are a perfect 3-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Grand Island Central Catholic's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points over those games. As for St. Paul, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
