Valor Christian faced Cherokee Trail in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Valor Christian was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-9, 25-19.

Reed Fisk paced Valor Christian's offense, picking up 18 kills. Fisk got some help from Darren Wright and his 31 assists. Renn Bailey and Lincoln Jessen kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Valor Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Cherokee Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Looking ahead, Valor Christian will head out on the road to challenge Littleton Public Schools at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Littleton Public Schools will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Valor Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cherokee Trail, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mullen at 6:30 p.m. The Cougars are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
