The Grangeville Bulldogs will challenge the Kellogg Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grangeville will be strutting in after a win while Kellogg will be coming in after a loss.

Grangeville's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past St. Maries 50-0. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Lumberjacks: they've now won three in a row.

Gage Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 108 yards and a pair of TDs, while also punching in one rushing score. That rushing touchdown marked the first that he has punched in this season.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Grangeville proved: they limited St. Maries to a paltry -0.5 yards per carry. The Bulldogs' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.7.

Meanwhile, Kellogg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 66-26 loss at the hands of Anaconda.

The win got Grangeville back to even at 4-4. As for Kellogg, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Grangeville against Kellogg in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-22 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Wildcats' Porter Lewis, who threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns.
