Football Recap: Manti Templars vs. Canyon View Falcons
Manti won the last time they faced Canyon View and things went their way on Thursday too. The Templars put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 38-17 victory. Considering the Templars have won five contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Manti had a senior duo take command as Carter Mason threw for 435 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes and Stone Mortensen picked up 231 receiving yards and four TDs. Mortensen's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Crowther, who rushed for 98 yards.
Manti was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 203 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Manti didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Mortensen. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103.2 receiving yards per game.
Although Canyon View took the loss, they still got scores from Caden Greenland and Ryder Miller.
The win (which was Manti's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 18.2 points. As for Canyon View, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.
Manti does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canyon View, they will welcome Ogden at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
