Baseball Recap: Lincoln Park Takes a Loss

If Lincoln Park was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Erie-Mason on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Railsplitters took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Friday. The Railsplitters were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Lincoln Park has also been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-23 record this season. As for Erie-Mason, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-14-1 record this season.

Lincoln Park will take on Allen Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Railsplitters surely won't give up without a fight. As for Erie-Mason, their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Whitmore Lake at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
