Baseball Recap: Cambridge-South Dorchester Comes Up Short

Cambridge-South Dorchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kent County Trojans. Even if the Vikings couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Cambridge-South Dorchester got a good showing from Jacob Mitchell, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Nate Twilley was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Landon Ludolph, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Cambridge-South Dorchester's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Kent County, with the win, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-13.

As of now, neither Cambridge-South Dorchester nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
