Marion County has gone a perfect 6-0 against Brainerd recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Warriors will welcome the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Brainerd took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Marion County, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Marion County needed a bit of extra time to put away Franklin County. They had just enough and edged out the Rebels 6-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Brynna Thomasson spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kaylee McGowan was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two).

Meanwhile, Brainerd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to Tyner Academy. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Brainerd's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Marion County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Marion County took their win against Brainerd in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
