Basketball Recap: Thornridge Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Thornridge Falcons didn't have quite enough to beat the Agricultural Science Cyclones and fell 2-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Cyclones are ranked 210th).

Thornridge has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season. The win was the fourth in a row for Agricultural Science, bringing their record for this year to 20-9.

Thornridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-51 defeat against Bremen on the 24th. As for Agricultural Science, they will face off against Morgan Park at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Nasir Rankin and Chris Cole.
