Norman North (Norman, Okla.) took the lead for good when
Peyton Gavras threw a touchdown with 9:00 left in the fourth quarter and held on to upset
Owasso (Okla.) 49-42 on Saturday.
After trailing 28-21 at the half, the Rams went ahead on a touchdown with 10:00 left in the third.
Gavras was one of the big reasons Norman North got the victory, as he threw four touchdowns.
Jaylen Lowe made a difference for Owasso. The senior quarterback caught one touchdown.
OHS came in surrendering 14.7 points per game this season. The Rams struggled against NN, which came in averaging 39.4 points per game.
The Norman school (12-1) faces off against Owasso in a playoff game its next time out. The Rams will bring a record of 10-2 into the meeting.
